development overview: New York City Opera performed excerpts form the work in their Showcasing American Composers series led by maestro George Manahan; American Opera Projects presented two full to scratch an angel readings in association with Centro Culturale Primo Levi, New York. Performers included John Kelly, Chris Trakas, Wendy Hill, Jennifer Hines, and Deborah van Renterghem. The 90-minute opera is poised and ready for a fully staged premiere or a full concert reading.
